This fanny pack is a game changer for photographers! Unlike most fanny packs, which can’t stretch to fit a lens, this one was designed with us in mind. I can fit an extra lens and flash, and even attach my camera body, so everything is in one place.
Photography equipment is heavy! After hours on your feet and contorting into awkward positions to get the perfect shot, it can really take a toll. This harness has great padding that makes the job so much easier on your back and neck!
This camera (in my opinion) is essential if you want to get into wedding photography. It’s best for clients and has 2 sd card readers. The battery life on this camera is amazing, can go about 6 hours into a wedding day until I need a second one! The low light capabilities and the colors are more true to color I would say!
This lens is my ride or die on wedding days!! Although I still love prime lenses for having the ability to have lower aperture settings giving you a nice creamy background. Which is something you usually are not able to get with zoom lenses, but with this one it has a 2.8 f which still gives you a nice creamy background! This lens allows me to be able to stay farther back on wedding days and still be able to get those closer shots. It truly is universal and I bring it along with me to almost every session!!!
Just like everyone else, photographers have to start somewhere. For me, it was with this lens. It’s affordable, making it a great starter lens, and the quality is a major win!
This lens is perfect for taking your artistic expression to the next level! The photos created with this lens are so creamy!!
Listen up, photographers—flash isn’t going anywhere. In fact, clients are requesting it more and more (and for good reason). My personal favorite flash includes a rechargeable battery. The icing on the cake? It lasts me through two whole weddings before needing a recharge!
The most important thing to me is freezing moments in time for my clients so they can cherish those memories for a lifetime. That’s why having a reliable drive is crucial. This Sandisk hard drive has never once failed me when saving all of my clients’ RAW files.
I love using a 64GB memory card for wedding days. Pro tip: I usually switch them out twice to keep all the images safe!
These LP-E6NH batteries are my go-to! A new battery lasts me up to 6 hours of coverage on wedding days. You can also find them used on KEH for a little cheaper.
Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but you get the point.
I absolutely love this app, especially when I first got started in photography. This app allows you to look up any type of session to get inspiration for your upcoming sessions. It’s basically Pinterest for Photographers. I also love that you can share your own work here and potentially get featured.

The CRM that literally keeps me sane. A CRM is a Client Relationship Management program that keeps everything in one place. While there are so many options that you can use, I have personally loved my experience with Honeybook. Not only does it keep all of my client information organized, but also my taxes!

Let’s be honest, starting out as a photographer can be pricey, but I saved money by buying used products from companies like KEH. I’ve bought so many things from there that I love, and they have a great customer service team. You can even set up Zoom meetings with them if you’re trying to sell your used gear!
